Well, as we all know Obama has officially won the 2008 election. What does that mean for the world of celebrities and fashion though? It’s simple. It means that Michelle Obama’s fashion choices are going to have to be coming way up real fast. She has been criticized for her fashion choices so far as they have been called below par in comparison to other first lady figures. Personally I think she just dresses more down to earth than most. I know that there are a lot of overpriced purses out there. I know that because I have a few. It is that time of year again. Yes, the time of year where it is cold outside and we actually get to pull out our winter clothing for a couple of months. Here in Florida however, it is more like a couple of weeks. It seems that winter doesn’t last very long here at all. Although right now it is just cold enough to actually wear a jacket and that is a good thing as I love the winter clothing.

As it has been colder than usual I have had to dig through the closet and find things that I have not worn in some time. Of course, those things are not exactly in the condition that I remembered them being in when I hung them up almost a year ago. That being said I am going to have to look for some new winter coats for me and my husband. I found this great mens wool coat online for him and I am still looking for me. There is something about a celebrity that makes us all stop and look at them. It is not just the fact that they are famous and look familiar. It is the way they carry themselves, the clothes they wear and the things they have. Let me give you an example. When a celebrity pushes her baby down the street in a baby stroller they don’t look like other moms. Typically that is because they have some of the most extravagant strollers known to man. Point is that they carry themselves differently and I think we can all use a little confidence to not only look better, but to feel better also.

There are tons of expensive things out there. Things that we look at and drool over as we walk by the store window and other things that we look at and think to ourselves who in their right mind would spend that much money on something so ugly. I remember a little while back there was a purse that was released. This purse was said to have only had a couple of them made and each one was retailing for an insane amount of money. I believe JLo or one of the other big name celebs bought one and was sporting it around town. After I saw this purse however the only thing I could possibly think of, was how in her right mind did she spend that much money on something so awful. Well, my point is that we don’t all have to have money to look good. For instance, there is tons of nice fashion jewelry out there that can really dress up an outfit and make it look really good without spending a fortune on it. All you have to know is where to shop and more importantly have a little creativity when you do it. Then you too can look like a celebrity.

With all of the celebrities out there having babies it has started a real trend of people deciding now is the time for them to have babies as well. Don’t you just love it when you here and read about a celebrity bringing out their own fashion line? I kinda don’t. I’m not being mean, but just think about it and tell me your thoughts! Anyways, that celeb who is bringing out her own fashion line is Kristin Davis. I do wish her the best and hopes her line sells well. Kristin Davis said that she promises that her clothing line will be “feminine” and “flirty”. Sounds interesting and I might check it out. Her line will range from jeans, shoes, jewelry to dresses and lingerie. The cost for these items will go from $38 to $240 per item. I like Belk! I shop there on occasion. Where I live they have like three of them, but for those of you in like California, SORRY!!! If you are into fashion and shoes than you have got to check out this site that I just came across. It has a ton of different shoes to choose from and they are actually reasonably priced. Okay, wait I guess that is more of a relative statement as what may be reasonable to some may not be reasonable to others. The point though is that they have a great variety of shoes available and they even have some cool options for gift ideas. This works out perfect for me as I am currently searching for the perfect Mother’s Day present and birthday present. My mom’s birthday actually coincides with Mother’s Day this year so I am lucky enough to have to find two presents.
