I can’t wait. Feb. 22, 2009 the Oscars are back. This is going to be a huge event. I can’t wait to see all of the celebs all dressed up in their designer dresses. Not to mention all of the hot sexy men in their tight looking suits, with the occasional tuxedo thrown in. It is a night of the stars and this year I think will be the best awards shows in the last decade. So many good movies and the acting has really been exceptional this year.

I know that there are a lot of overpriced purses out there. I know that because I have a few. I also know however that there are a lot of very nice looking purses and handbags that are not expensive at all but look like they are. Those are the best purses to buy. For instance, I found some really nice Ju Ju Be purses on this website today that are super cute and cost almost nothing. Check them out and see what I mean.

I have noticed that more and more celebrities are crossing the line from big screen to television. The thing is that they are not crossing over to the sitcom industry, they are selling out and doing more and more commercials. If you haven’t seen the VW ads then you might not know what I mean. The thing is that celebs are selling more stuff than they should. Everything from insurance to wholesale fashion jewelry, its getting out of hand. People trust their face and think they are getting a deal if they buy the product that person represents.

What do you get someone who has everything? That is the big question. It makes me wonder what celebrities by each other for the holidays, and even worse is what if you have a celebrity family member? They have all the money and what are you expected to buy them? You can’t exactly go buy them espresso machines or coffee makers. What a dilemna that would be.

It seems to me that celebrities are always getting more things than they need. I mean a celeb walks into any store in LA and walks out with tons and tons of free stuff. They have all the money in the world but pretty much every major clothing line or jewelry line is giving them what they refer to as promotional products just so they will wear them on camera. It must be rough being rich and still not having to spend your money on anything.

So, now that one of their stars is pregnant, do you think that they are going to be adding it into the show??? That person being Alyson Hannigan, who plays on How I Met You Mother as Lily, is having a baby!!

Alyson Hannigan and her husband, Alexis Denisof, have just announced the happy news and she is due in the Spring. WOW, a lot of spring babies are coming!!

I wish the best of luck for the happy couple and know that they will both be great parents. Their litle bundle of joy is gonna be really cute too.

It is that time of year again. Yes, the time of year where it is cold outside and we actually get to pull out our winter clothing for a couple of months. Here in Florida however, it is more like a couple of weeks. It seems that winter doesn’t last very long here at all. Although right now it is just cold enough to actually wear a jacket and that is a good thing as I love the winter clothing.

As it has been colder than usual I have had to dig through the closet and find things that I have not worn in some time. Of course, those things are not exactly in the condition that I remembered them being in when I hung them up almost a year ago. That being said I am going to have to look for some new winter coats for me and my husband. I found this great mens wool coat online for him and I am still looking for me. Not that it is hard to find something nice, but I am very picky and like to find the best deal that I can. He however is happy with just about anything and I am sure that he will like what I got him.

Ok, I just love Amy Poehler!!! She is very very talented and funny, and I will be sad when she finishes her year with SNL. Yes she is leaving SNL this year to go on to a t.v. series prime time comedy that will air in the Spring. But that isn’t why I’m writing this article.

Amy Poehler and her husband, who is also a comedian, Will Arnett have just had a baby boy!

The little addition to the family was born on Saturday and is named Archie Arnett. He weighed 8 lbs 1 oz.

It was earlier announced on the SNL during the “Weekend Update” by her co-anchor Seth Meyers who told everybody in the cheering crowd, “Amy Poehler is not here tonight because she is having a baby.”

You know the one thing I didn’t know and kinda surprised me was her age. She is 37 years old, and boy she does not look it!! Great Genes I would have to say.

If you havent heard already, such sad news today for Jennifer Hudson.

Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother were fatally shot yesterday in her moms house in Chicago. Confirmed by Jennifer Hudson’s publicist, she said that the victim’s bodies were found in a South Side home friday. It was listed in her mothers name.

Another sad thing is that her 7 year old nephew is also missing. No reports yet if he has been found or where he is.

As far as I’ve heard its domestic disturbance related and they do have a person in custody.

My prayers and thoughts are with Jennifer Hudson right now and knowing her, she will pull through this cause she is a very strong woman!!!
